quota: Under the leadership of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Bundi district of Rajasthan started once again on Monday. Gandhi was accompanied by her sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her husband Robert Vadra and hundreds of women. A large number of women, including party workers and women from nearby areas, accompanied Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi and other passengers to the Kota-Lalsot mega highway. They will march from Babai to Pipalwada in Sawai Madhopur district and then halt there for rest.

The yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. Rahul Rao, who has been on foot since then, said that today the 96th day of ‘Bharat Joda Yatra’ started with Nari Shakti at around six in the morning at Tejaji Maharaj temple in Babai village after offering prayers, singing the national anthem and hoisting the national flag.

He told that during this time a large number of women gathered on the roads to greet the passengers and also became part of the march. Today i.e. Monday is the seventh day of the yatra in Rajasthan. Its the last day in Bundi district. After traveling about six kilometers from Tejaji temple, the yatra will enter Tonk district at around 7.15 am. After this, it will travel about five kilometers in Tonk before entering Sawai Madhopur via Pipalwada.

Kapil Yadav, co-coordinator of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in the state, said that the 96th day of the yatra is dedicated to women empowerment and hence it is being called ‘Nari Shakti Pad Yatra’ on Monday. Rajasthan is the only Congress-ruled state which has so far The journey has arrived. The yatra will cover a distance of about 500 kilometers in 17 days here before entering Haryana on December 21.

The yatra started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7 and has so far passed through five southern states including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana, and Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. This yatra will end in Jammu and Kashmir in the beginning of February. The yatra aims to cover a distance of 3,570 kilometers in 150 days. (agency)
