LucknowSamajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday thanked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for inviting him to his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and wished him success. But at the same time expressed his inability to participate in the yatra. SP’s chief spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhary said Akhilesh would not attend the yatra and there was “nil chance” of any other party leader attending the programme.
Gandhi’s nationwide yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh from Ghaziabad’s Loni border on the afternoon of January 3 and the night halt will be at Mavikala village in Baghpat. This yatra will pass through Shamli in Uttar Pradesh on January 4 and enter Haryana via Sanauli in Panipat on the evening of January 5. SP President Akhilesh Yadav shared the letter written to Rahul Gandhi on Twitter on Monday.
He has written in it, “Dear Rahul ji, Thank you for the invitation in ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and best wishes for the success of ‘Bharat Jodo’ campaign.” He wrote in the letter, “India is more of a feeling than a geographical extension, in which love, non-violence, compassion, cooperation and harmony are the only positive elements that unite India. Hope this yatra will achieve its goal with the aim of preserving this inclusive culture of our country.

He also said that neither Hindus nor Muslims are in danger in the country, the country is also not in danger.
