In Bhadohi, the noose is continuously tightening on former MLA of Samajwadi Party and Nishad Party Vijay Mishra and his close ones. The police of the district is doing the work of confiscating the property acquired from the money earned illegally. On Friday, District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi has directed to confiscate 6.6260 hectares of land situated in the name of his son-daughter-in-law and Samdhi in Lalganj area of Mirzapur. It is alleged that the said land was taken by the former MLA at a much lower price than the fixed price with the money earned from the crime. The cost of the said land is Rs 10 crore 92 lakh 71 thousand.
A total of 83 cases including murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape, assault, property grabbing and forgery are registered against former MLA Vijay Mishra, who is serving sentence in Central Jail Agra. Police-administration’s strictness on former MLA Vijay Mishra and his family remains intact. On Friday, District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi, in the name of former MLA’s son Vishnu Mishra and daughter-in-law Roopa Mishra and his own brother-in-law Ramesh Chandra Mishra, in Arazi Mauja Bhusi Pathraha, located in Lalganj Tehsil of Mirzapur, Gata number 83C area 6.6260 hectares (26 bigha 04 viswa approximately) land ordered to be confiscated. It is alleged that the former MLA had got this land registered in the name of his family/relatives with the money earned from criminal acts at a price less than the actual price using his influence. The cost of this land is said to be 10 crore 92 lakh 71 thousand. Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar said that the District Magistrate has directed to confiscate about 6.6260 hectares of land purchased in the name of former MLA’s son-daughter-in-law and Samdhi at Bhusi Pathraha of Lalganj tehsil of Mirzapur. Soon the said land will be attached.
