The first two cases were registered against him in 1985 at the Faridpur police station. One was for murder and the other for attempt to murder. In the year 1985 itself, a case of dacoity was registered in Badaun police station Dataganj. After this, continuous cases were registered against Suresh. These include cases like mutiny, murder, attempt to murder, gangster act, arms act, theft, hooligan act. Maximum number of cases against Suresh Pradhan are registered in Faridpur police station.
Cases have also been registered in Cantt, Bhamora, Izzatnagar, Kotwali and other police stations. However, Suresh used his influence to scuttle the allegations in most of the cases by threatening the witnesses and by other means, and avoided getting punished by the court. Recently in July 2022 action was taken against him under 110G from Faridpur.
Gathering of officers at the police station
After the firing in Katri, there was a gathering of officers at the police station on Thursday. SSP, SP Rural, SP Crime and SOG reached since morning. SP Rural and SP Crime remained present in the police station till evening and consulted for the arrest and raid of the accused. The officers also interrogated the 20 suspects picked up by the police.
Eight teams set up for arrest
SSP Akhilesh Chaurasia said that eight teams have been formed to arrest the accused. On the basis of suspicion, Suresh Pradhan is being searched in Badaun and Moradabad hospitals as well. He is injured and is undergoing treatment in hiding somewhere. At present, three accused involved in the unknown have been arrested. Soon Suresh and other accused will be arrested.
Report on 33, three arrested
In the case of the murder of three people in Ramganga’s Katri for land grab, the police have registered a report against 33 including 18 nominees for murder and other serious sections. Three of them were also arrested. The car used in the incident has also been recovered. Suresh Pal Singh Tomar alias Suresh Pradhan had brought hired goons from Ujhani police station area of Badaun district to carry out the crime.
