The couple consumed poisonous substance in Mawai Buzurg village of City Kotwali area in Banda district. Due to which both of them died. On late night information, ASP Lakshmi Niwas Mishra, CO City Ambuja Trivedi reached the spot with the force. After questioning the family members and villagers, the bodies were sent for postmortem.
There was a dispute between village resident Ram Roop and his wife Preeti over some issue on Friday afternoon. Both of them kept on arguing till 6:30 in the evening. According to family members, in the evening, Preeti swallowed sulfas pills. He was taken to the trauma center after vomiting and condition worsened. Where the doctors declared him dead on sight. As soon as husband Ramrup got information about this. He also consumed poisonous substance. He also died before the relatives could take him to the hospital.
