In Ballia’s Birabhanti village, a newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself in her room under suspicious circumstances. Police reached late night on the information of the parents and sent the dead body for postmortem. The reason for committing suicide is not clear yet.

Satish Singh, a resident of Birabhanti village under Pakdi police station area, was married to Lovely Singh (22), daughter of Ramdas Singh, a resident of Yogia Dih village in Siwan district of Bihar, on December 2. Everything was fine after marriage. Due to unknown reasons, Lovely ended her life late on Thursday night by hanging herself from the ceiling latch in her room.

Relatives were not at home, parents called the police

Police say no one was home at the time. All the family members of the house had gone to a marriage function. Lovely’s maternal uncle said that in the evening there was a talk with the daughter on the phone. After that, when the call did not pick up, then in fear of untoward incident, called the police.
