A private AC bus going from Mau to Delhi crushed two youths riding a bike near Lohra village of Azamgarh. Both the bike riders died in the accident. The bike and both the youths also got stuck in the bus and dragged for about 100 metres. Due to this the bus also caught fire. Where two died in the incident. At the same time, six passengers also got scorched. The police admitted the injured to the hospital. While the bodies of the dead were sent for postmortem

The AC bus of Krishna Travels was going to Delhi carrying passengers from Mau. Around seven o’clock in the evening, the bus had reached near Lohra village under Atraulia police station on NH 233 that the bike coming from the front on the wrong track came under the grip of the bus.

Passengers saved their lives by jumping from the bus

In this accident, two youths riding a bike, Pintu and Ravindra, residents of Badsara Aima police station, Kaptanganj, died on the spot. Not only this, the deceased and the bike got stuck in the bus and dragged for 100 meters. During this the bus caught fire. By the time the bus driver stopped the bus, the bus became a ball of fire.

The passengers in the bus somehow jumped and started running out. Six passengers got burnt in this. There was an outcry at the spot. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a large number of people gathered. Atraulia police also reached the spot.

While the scorched people were sent to the hospital, the bodies of the dead were sent for post-mortem by the police. The six passengers aboard the bus have suffered minor burns, but the bus was completely gutted along with all their belongings.

On getting information about the incident, along with SP Rural Rahul Rusia, CO Budhanpur Gopal Swaroop Bajpai had also reached the spot and were engaged in rescue and relief work.
