Ambedkar statue was damaged by miscreants on Monday night in Dewai Rasoolpur village of Kandrapur police station area in Azamgarh. People got angry after getting the information. The police reached the information and pacified the people by convincing them.
The statue of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is installed near primary school canal in Dewai Rasulpur village. Chaotic elements damaged this statue on Monday night. When the villagers found the statue damaged on Tuesday morning, they were surprised. On getting information, a large number of villagers gathered on the spot. Due to this incident anger spread among the villagers. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and pacified the matter by pacifying the people. During this, along with the installation of the rural new statue, demanded to secure it by putting barbed wire from all sides. Which the administration demanded and the villagers became calm.
