Aurangabad: On Wednesday, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrekar expressed his displeasure over the lack of speed in the work of the drinking water scheme worth Rs. In this review tour, he gave strict instructions to the company working on the scheme and the officials of Maharashtra Life Authority to speed up the work of the scheme.
Divisional Commissioner Kendrekar along with Collector Astik Kumar Pandey, Aurangabad Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chowdhary visited the proposed land of the main well to be constructed for the new drinking water scheme near Jayakwadi dam and the work of water purification center under construction at Kanchanwadi. During this visit, he expressed his displeasure over the failure of the company doing the work of the project to speed up the work and directed the officials of the Maharashtra Life Authority to take strict steps to speed up the work of the project. Along with increasing the machinery for the work of the scheme, instructions were also given to make the system more dynamic.

The High Court had clearly said that currently only 25 percent of the work is being completed in the planning done for the scheme. In such a situation, the High Court gave strict instructions to the administration to speed up the work of the scheme. Due to which, on Wednesday, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrekar, Collector Astik Kumar Pandey, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chowdhary reviewed the work of ongoing scheme in Jayakwadi campus.
