Highlighting the many resolutions made on the new year, Pandey said that due to various reasons, the Ellora Festival was closed for the last several years, but now plans have been made to start the festival in the month of February. Apart from promoting local art through this festival, artists will also get employment.
Drinking water scheme will be completed on time
It is necessary to supply drinking water to the citizens according to their needs. For this, the district administration along with Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is also trying. Aurangabad’s Divisional Commissioner Sunil Kendrekar has focused special attention on the new drinking water scheme. The administration intends to supply drinking water as soon as possible in coordination with all the departments.
Development of Verul-Ghrishneshwar Temple and Complex
Aurangabad collector Pandey said that this Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The development plan of this area has been sent to the government for approval. The area will be developed with this plan.

The Sports University will play an important role in promoting the sports culture of the district and Marathwada. An amount of 6 crore 62 lakh has been proposed from the District Planning Committee for the security wall of the university.
Construction of Administrative Complex at Labor Colony site
Pandey said that the proposal, budget, architectural plan for the construction of the administrative building of the proposed new collector’s office on 14 acres of government land in Vishwas Nagar-Labor Colony has been prepared and sent to the government for approval. Further action will be taken as soon as the approval is received. An amount of Rs 2 crore 25 lakh has been approved from DPDC for the security wall.
Girjamata temple and complex will be developed in Mhaismal
Mhaismal is also famous as a cold place, so it is always crowded with tourists. The administration is making efforts for the development of Girjamata temple and its premises and efforts will also be made to solve the local problems here.

Preparation for G-20 conference will change the face of the city
The meeting of this conference will be held in the city. Aurangabad Municipal Corporation has got funds for the planning of this convention. The number of development works being done in the city with this fund will certainly change the face of the city in a few days.
Tourism will be promoted
The district has a heritage of tourism. The administration is going to make vigorous efforts to promote tourism. Emphasis will be laid on increasing facilities for tourists visiting Verul caves, Ajanta caves and other tourist places. Visitor centers are operational at Verul and Ajanta.
Solar Energy Water Purification Center
There is a vision from the District Planning Committee to start solar powered water purification centers in rural areas. It has been resolved to provide clean drinking water to most of the villages by installing a 20,000 liter water tank.
