Asaram Bapu convicted in rape case;  Sessions Court will hear today


Gandhinagar : Self-proclaimed spiritual leader Asaram Bapu has been convicted by the Sessions Court in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, in the 2013 female disciple rape case. In this matter, the Sessions Court will hear the matter today, on Tuesday. Sessions Judge D.K. Soni has kept the decision in this case on Monday. Court exonerated Asaram’s wife and co-accused innocent.

According to the ‘FIR’ filed in Chandkheda Police Station, Asaram Bapu raped a disciple in the ashram several times during the year 2001 to 2006. Special Public Prosecutor R. According to C. Kodekar, the court convicted Asaramala under sections 376 2(c) (rape), 377 (unnatural offences) and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code. In another rape case, Asaram Bapula’s education has come to be heard, and he is currently in jail in Jodhpur.

A woman in Surat would have filed a crime against Asaram Bapu and seven others for rape and possession of illegal drums. In October 2013, only one of them died while the case was going on. So, the charge sheet would have been filed in July 2014. The sessions court on Monday acquitted Asaram’s wife and co-accused.
