chandrapur, In Mool tehsil, the excise department’s secondary inspector Sandeep Raut and the officer of Chandrapur excise department had seized goods worth Rs 17 lakh by raiding the fake liquor manufacturing factory.
The main accused in this case Pawan alias Golu Verma was absconding. In search of the accused, the Excise Department had formed various teams. But he was dodging these teams. Finally, Officer Raut got secret information about Golu Verma being in Latur city.
On the basis of information, Sandeep Raut, Abhijeet Lichde, Amit Kshirsagar, Sudarshan Rakhunde, Jagan Puttalwar reached Latur and arrested Pawan alias Golu Verma in the coffee shop near Shivaji Chowk Rathi Bank. The employees of Excise Latur department cooperated in the action. The court has ordered the accused Golu Verma to be kept in excise police custody till March 13. Sandeep Raut is doing the investigation.
