After the murder of PhD student Ankit Khokhar in Ghaziabad’s Modinagar, Pravesh made purchases for his wedding by withdrawing Rs 1.20 lakh from his bank account through an ATM card. Bought a lehenga for the bride with this amount. Later he bought his suit with the same amount. He got married on 6th December. He was preparing to go on honeymoon by withdrawing more money from the account. Already caught. Pravesh is a resident of Chipyana of Bisrakh police station area of Gautam Buddha Nagar. After killing Ankit, Umesh told Pravesh about the whole incident. Gave him Ankit’s bike and debit card. Told him that there is 40 lakh rupees in the account. He can take out as many as he wants.
Pravesh said that he is in dire need of money. The marriage is fixed, there is a lot of shopping to be done. Police told that Umesh told Pravesh to take Ankit’s mobile phone to the ATM booth, not his own, so that the police would come to see the location.
Pravesh withdrew Rs 1.20 lakh in three times from Haridwar and Rishikesh. The police have taken its complete details from the bank.
Ankit had one thousand pens
Ankit’s friend Rupesh told that Ankit was a promising student. He was fond of collecting pens. He used to buy expensive pens. More than one thousand pens have been found in his room. Originally resident of Mukandpur village of Baghpat, Ankit’s father Rampal Singh was a government teacher and mother Sumitra Devi was a homemaker.
When Rampal was posted in Shamli, Ankit did his intermediate studies in Shamli. After this, further education was done in Banaras. Ankit’s parents had heart disease. Mother died in January 2013 and father in November 2013 due to illness.
