There has been no teacher recruitment for 18 years in the Geography Department of Allahabad University (IVV). Now after 18 years, 17 posts of teachers are going to be recruited in the department. For this, the interview will be conducted from December 7. At the same time, there will be an interview on December 10 for the recruitment of five posts of teachers in Environmental Studies Center.
Earlier in the year 2004, one post of lecturer was recruited in the Department of Geography. This time 17 posts are going to be recruited, including 12 for Assistant Professor, four for Associate Professor and one for Professor. For the post of Associate Professor, the interview of eight candidates under PWD ‘D’ and ‘E’ category and eight candidates of ST category will be held on December 7. On the same day, 16 unreserved candidates will be interviewed for the post of Associate Professor.
On December 8, for the post of Assistant Professor, 16 candidates for SC and 24 candidates for OBC category and on December 9 for the post of Assistant Professor, 19 candidates of EWS and 32 candidates of unreserved category have been called for interview. Apart from this, two posts each of Assistant and Associate Professor and one of Professor are to be recruited in the Center for Environmental Studies.
On December 10, three candidates of unreserved category for the post of professor, eight candidates of unreserved category for the post of associate professor, 12 candidates of unreserved category and nine candidates of SC category for the post of assistant professor have been invited for interview. The interview of all the candidates will be conducted in the guest house of IVIV.
