The Allahabad High Court has sought information from the Central Government within ten days on a petition filed for appointment of a successful candidate in the written test and medical examination in the Central Armed Police Forces Recruitment Examination 2018 and not handing over the charge. The petition has been directed to be posted for hearing on February 16. The court has directed the petitioner advocate to give a copy of this order to the Additional Solicitor General’s office within 48 hours. The court has given this order despite the list being revised when no advocate on behalf of the central government appeared in the court.

Justice Vikram D. Chauhan has given this order on the petition of Sonu Kumar Paswan. Petitioner advocates Lalu Yadav and Kiran Rani say that despite being declared successful in the written examination and medical test, the petitioner has not been given appointment. No reason has been given for this. On this, the court ordered the information to be sought in the absence of the central government advocate and directed to give it to the ASG I office.
