Senior Justice Pritinkar Diwakar will be the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. The collegium, headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, has recommended the appointment of Justice Diwakar to the central government. In which it has been said that Justice Diwakar should be appointed to the vacant post due to the appointment of Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal as a judge of the Supreme Court.
Justice Diwakar was transferred from the Chhattisgarh High Court in 2018 to the Allahabad High Court. Being the senior most justice, he has been recommended for appointment as the Chief Justice.
