The BJP president mentioned, “Today at a rally of opposition leaders in Haryana, they all gathered to celebrate Devi Lal’s birth anniversary. Two things are in common for them. One is that they are all family parties and secondly that they are all deeply engrossed in corruption. Some of them are out on bail and other politicians are accused in the cases. So you can see the challenges BJP is facing.
To form an anti-BJP united front, Nitish Kumar, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and other prominent opposition leaders on Sunday called for a new alliance, which also holds the Congress for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He insisted that a bi-polar contest would ensure the defeat of the BJP.
Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad also met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Sunday evening. Nadda said that BJP is the only national party in the country. He claimed, “There isn’t any nationwide social gathering apart from us. Even the Congress is not a nationwide social gathering. It has change into a brother-sister social gathering (political social gathering).”
Giving the example of family or dynastic parties, Nadda said, “Jammu has PDP and National Conference in Kashmir, Badal household has Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, Chautala household’s social gathering in Haryana, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party is managed by the household.
He mentioned, “In Jharkhand there is Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, which is a dynastic party, Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, Biju Janata Dal of Patnaik family in Odisha, YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, K. It is the party of Chandrashekhar Rao family, they are all family based parties, where there is no scope for democracy.
Nadda said that BJP is fighting to save democracy from these dynastic, highly corrupt parties. He said, “The People’s Party of China has 9 crore members, whereas the BJP has 18 crore members as of at present.”
