The department is preparing to get rid of the problem of 24-hour power supply and overloading in summer in Aligarh city. Under this exercise, the repair work of the supply system is going on. This work will be completed in the next three days. Under this, the capacity of the city’s most overloaded power stations has been increased and the capacity of 31 transformers is being increased.
Under the business plan, transformers of 16 to 25 KVA, 25 to 63 KVA and 63 to 100 KVA are being installed at 26 places in urban areas by spending Rs 25 lakh. The areas where this work is being done include Sai Vihar Agra Road, Sasni Gate Bharat Jaiswal Wali Gali, Sangwan City Road, Shivshakti Dham Colony Sangwan City Road, Kalindri Kunj Swarna Jayanti Nagar, Teachers Colony Dhanipur, Sangharsh Colony Kamalpur Road, Raj Complex Ravantila, Bhaiji Nagar Alampur, Bhimsen Wala Area Alampur, Masjid Wala Alampur, Chanchal School Baraula, Baraula Feeder, Green Park Anupshahar Road, Gulistan Anupshahar Road, Rathgaon Road Anupshahar Road, Anupshahar Road, Vaishalipuram Golden Jubilee Nagar, Mithilapuri Golden Jubilee Nagar , Talaspur Kala Geeta Vihar Colony, Ganeshdham Sangwan City Road, Professor Colony Swarna Jayanti Nagar, Royal Kaveri Jawahar Colony, RD Complex Ramghat Road, Peeli Kothi Ambedkar Colony Dhanipur, Bhudevi Dham Ravantila 26 transformers of increased capacity have been installed.
At the same time, 5 transformers of 250 to 400 capacity have been installed in the city. Apart from this, capacity has been increased at Swarna Jayanti Nagar and Kila Road power stations. Many of these works have been done, while some works are remaining which are to be completed in the next three days.
In view of the heat, there is a full effort to supply 24 hours in the city. In this sequence, the power stations which were overloaded, their capacity has been increased and the transformers which were overloaded, their capacity is being increased on priority under the business plan.
