The heat in Aligarh has broken the 32-year-old record in February this time. The maximum temperature was recorded at 30 degree Celsius on Thursday. Which is seven degrees more than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, this change in temperature is happening due to the delay in the arrival of Western Disturbance. The temperature will rise further in the coming days. This time the heat can break the record of the last several years.
In February itself, the heat has turned severe. The strong sunlight has started troubling people since morning. Meteorologist Dr. Ram Palat Singh said that the maximum temperature was recorded at 30 degree Celsius on Thursday. Which is seven degrees more than normal. Earlier in February 1991, the temperature had reached almost the same. He said that in the last 22 days in February, the maximum temperature was recorded below normal only on two days, while the remaining 20 days were above normal.
He told that if the Western Disturbance had come on time, it would have rained and the mercury would have come down, but this has not happened. There will be an increase in the temperature in the remaining days of February as well. Western Disturbance is likely to come on February 25 or February 27-28. If the Western Disturbance affects and it rains, then some respite from the heat is expected.
