The strike of electric bus drivers in Aligarh ended on Sunday morning. After this, the services of these buses became the same. Due to which the general public got some convenience in traveling. The drivers went on strike on Saturday after the bus was banned from talking on mobile phones while driving.

The strike ended on Sunday after talks with the drivers, operators and staff management officers. During this, thousands of passengers traveling in these buses faced problems. Due to the strike, there has been a loss of revenue of about one and a half to two lakh rupees. After the death of a child in an electric bus in Kanpur, the use of mobile phones by the drivers during the journey has been banned.

The officers issued orders asking the drivers to deposit their mobile phones in the office before going on duty. In protest against this, there was anger among the bus drivers on Saturday. They created a ruckus at the depot’s office, stopping the bus operations. On Sunday morning, Roadways Regional Manager Satyendra Verma, ARM Chini Prasad, besides officers associated with MI and Compass Company interacted with Electric Bus Service staff and office bearers.

It was decided that the drivers will go on duty only after depositing their mobiles. If any information has to be exchanged, the operator will talk through his phone. Regional Manager Satyendra Verma said that the demands of the staff have been discussed. Solutions to the problems have been discussed, will be resolved soon. Legitimate demands will be heard. Buses have started operating as usual from 11 am on Sunday.
