Stones were pelted in two communities late on Monday evening in Sarai Sultani, a mixed population-susceptible neighborhood next to the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh office. The incident started with a fight between two youths over a dispute over parking a bike at a dhaba. Within no time, youths from both the sides came face to face there. Two youths were injured in the stone pelting. Late night, a crowd of youths were standing on the Agra road blocking the arrest of the accused. In this sequence, even at 12 o’clock in the night, stones were thrown at the youths passing through the street and there is talk of aerial fire as well.
A young locksmith named Himanshu of Sasni Gate Pakki Sarai had gone to take food at the hotel located on Agra Road Sarai Sultani at around nine o’clock. Meanwhile, there was an altercation with a youth from another community for parking the bike there. Himanshu side alleges that during this he was beaten up together by several youths including the hotel operator. He got hurt in this fight. On this, he called his brother Akash, when he reached the spot taking all the youths with him, the dispute escalated and there was stone pelting between the two sides. During this, Akash also got hurt on his head.
In no time there was a situation of tension. Amidst the commotion, the nearby markets and dhabas were closed in a hurry. Traffic stopped on the road. The other side alleges that Himanshu Paksha came under the influence of alcohol and because of that the dispute took place. On the news, Sarai Sultani Chowki Police as well as Sasni Gate Inspector reached the spot. Somehow the crowd was controlled. The youths of Sarai Sultani side entered the streets on seeing the police.

After this, the youths of Himanshu-Akash side gathered a crowd in their support by calling and blocked the bike in front of Sarai Sultani Chowki on Agra road. The police started convincing the people. But raised the voice of immediate arrest and started a ruckus. Then went towards Sarai Sultani and started pelting stones. Although only a few bricks were thrown and from there too, bricks and stones came in response. But somehow the police controlled the situation. Meanwhile, the news reached DM Indra Vikram Singh, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani, apart from ADM City, SP City, CO I, CO II, CO III, CO Iglas, SP Dehat PAC, QRT and the police force of all the police stations of the city. Later IG Deepak Kumar also reached. Till late in the night, the officers kept roaming in the streets to control the situation.
