The crowd of people going home by roadways buses on Holi has now started reaching the bus stand. On Sunday, a huge crowd of passengers was seen at the roadways bus stands. In the midst of jostling, some passengers secured their seats by entering through the windows instead of the doors. And some passengers had to wait for hours for the bus.
There was a huge rush of passengers at Aligarh’s Gandhi Park Bus Stand and Satellite Bus Stand. The situation remained normal at the Masoodabad bus stand. Passengers waited for hours for the bus. As soon as the bus came outside the bus stand, the crowd of passengers used to fall on it. There was also a jostling between the passengers to make space in the bus. Many passengers took the risk of entering the bus through the windows instead of through the doors.
There was paucity of buses at Gandhi Park bus stand on Etah, Kasganj, Agra, Bareilly, Badaun routes throughout the day. The number of passengers was more on this route. Etah-Kanpur route buses were also available after a long time. At the same time, the number of passengers going to Mathura at Masoodabad bus stand was less. Apart from this, the number of passengers on Moradabad, Bijnor, Anupshahar route was normal. There was a shortage of buses coming from Ballabhgarh, Palwal and Noida, Delhi at the satellite bus stand. The buses coming here were packed. There was also lack of passenger facilities at Gandhi Park bus stand. Didn’t even get water to drink. The toilets were also dirty.
Holidays of officers-employees canceled on Holi
In view of the problems faced by the passengers on Holi, the roadways has canceled the holidays of its officers and employees. After getting the order from the headquarters, no employee or officer will get any leave till March 12.
