Expansion
Within a month, the kitchen budget in the houses has deteriorated due to the rapid increase in the prices of flour, rice and pulses. On the one hand, the prices of vegetables have come down, while the prices of edible oils are increasing. Within two weeks, the price of flour has increased by Rs 250 to Rs 300 per quintal.
Edible oils like soya oil, mustard oil, vanaspati ghee etc. are witnessing a rise of Rs 15 to 20 per litre. In the retail and wholesale business of food items, there is a tinge of inflation. Due to the increase in the price of food items, the difficulties of low income, job profession and middle class are increasing. The budget of people’s house has deteriorated rapidly in essential household items. Inflation is not affecting only flour, rice and pulses, but coriander, cumin and turmeric have also broken their records.
