A fire broke out in the government guest house at Aligarh’s Dhanipur airport due to unknown reasons in the early hours of Friday. In which goods worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes. On the news of the accident, the officers reached the spot and extinguished the fire with the help of fire tenders. Short circuit is said to be the cause of the fire.

The Public Works Department constituted a five-member committee under the leadership of Assistant Engineer to investigate the incident, which will submit its complete report in three days. Apart from the damage caused by the fire, the committee will also submit a detailed report of the damage caused and the amount spent in repairing the guest house.

A government guest house of the Public Works Department has been set up for the stay of VVIPs coming to Dhanipur airport. The Public Works Department has the complete responsibility of its operation. Somehow a sudden fire broke out in the guest house. When the watchman came to know about this, he informed the police personnel and fire brigade present at the police post at the airport and also informed the departmental officers. The fire engine reached and extinguished the fire.

Apart from the officers of the Public Works Department, City Magistrate Chandrashekhar also arrived on the information of the fire. He inquired about the incident of fire. He told that furniture worth lakhs of rupees including an AC, fridge, sofa, chair, two fans kept in the guest house got burnt to ashes due to the fire. Short circuit is said to be the cause of the fire.

Nevertheless, to find out the exact cause of the fire in the guest house, a five-member committee has been constituted by the Public Works Department to investigate the incident. The committee consists of one assistant engineer and four junior engineers. The team will complete the investigation in the next three days and submit its complete report. The team will present its report by January 10 about the causes of the fire as well as about the damages caused and the expenses incurred on repairs etc. He told that the damage caused by the fire is being assessed by the Public Works Department.
