A contract worker died after coming under the grip of an electric line in Kanakpur village of Akrabad police station area on Saturday evening. He was working by climbing a pole. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
Sanjeev Kumar s/o Trivedi Prasad Dubhiya, a resident of village Bhinauli of police station Vijaygarh, was working as a contract worker on the electricity feeder. The relatives told the police in Tahrir that on Saturday evening, a person resident of Kanakpur village Sanjeev Kumar had called and taken him to his house to get electrical work done. While working there, at around 5.30 pm, he got electrocuted, due to which Sanjeev fainted and fell on the ground.
On getting the information, the family took him to the hospital for treatment. There the doctors declared 26-year-old Sanjeev Kumar brought dead. On the other hand, Surendra Singh Singh, Junior Engineer of Dubhiya Feeder, has told the police in Tahrir that the person who had called Sanjeev to his home to get him work was taken.
He lied and put the worker on the electric pole. Here the contract worker has died due to electrocution. On the complaint of the relatives, the police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The deceased has left behind his wife Preeti and two children Ansh and Rehan crying.
