Two bikes collided face-to-face on Saturday afternoon near village Gopi on the national highway in Akrabad police station area. The bike-riding BSF jawan and his father died in the accident. Along with this, two other people were injured. The police have sent the injured to the hospital for treatment.
Jagdish Prasad s/o Bhagwati Prasad, a resident of village Gudmai of police station Akrabad, was posted as head constable in the Border Security Force (BSF) in Arunachal Pradesh. According to family members, he had come to his village Gudmai a few days back after taking leave. Jagdish Prasad had come with his father on a bike in the afternoon to buy some goods from Gopi Bazar. At around one o’clock in the afternoon, he was returning home from Hirapur petrol pump after taking diesel for the fields.
Only then the bikes of bike rider Lavkush son Rameshwar and Arjun son Ramprakash, residents of village Nagla Kamlu, coming from the front collided near Balaji Cold Store. Both the bikes were damaged in the accident and the four people on the bikes were seriously injured. People around gathered on the spot. People informed the police about the accident. Police reached the spot and sent all the injured to Akrabad CSC for treatment with the help of an ambulance.
From there, the doctors referred the injured Jagdish Prasad and his father Bhagwati Prasad to the district hospital, describing their condition as critical. Jagdish Prasad Fauji, 50, was declared brought dead by the doctors on arrival at the district hospital and his father Bhagwati Prasad was sent to the JN Medical College hospital in a critical condition. During treatment there, 75-year-old Bhagwati Prasad also died. Deceased Jagdish Prasad has left behind his wife Usha Devi, two daughters Sarita and Anju and a son Anmol.
