The role of suspended JE Lakhan Singh has been considered suspicious in the departmental inquiry regarding shifting of 1200 meter line of 33 KV in Sangwan City premises of Aligarh. On this basis, it has been recommended to recover the cost of the new line amounting to Rs 4.94 lakh 340 from JE’s salary or departmental bills. In this case, a case was also filed against Sangwan City Management, Contractor and Supervisor in Mahuakheda.
Tell that 33 KV line is coming from 132 KV Bauner substation to Tala Nagri industrial area. The 23 kilometer long line was converted into a new line after shutdown on 13th November. This work was done by the contractor Chakrapani Bhatt. Meanwhile, on the same day, a new 1200 meter 33 KV line was drawn in the Sangwan City complex and the old line was removed, while according to the rules, an estimate of at least Rs 12 lakh was made for this work.
Work would have been done in at least three days of shutdown and poles and wires etc. would have been allotted from the Power Corporation’s store. Then it would have worked. But this work was done under the guise of a shutdown of a few hours. When the matter came to light, the JE was suspended and a case was registered against the contractor, Sangwan City director and supervisor of the contractor working on the line from Bauner to Talanagri. Along with this, the old line has been restored in a hurry.
In this case, the investigation was handed over to two officers of the level of Executive Engineer, Amit Chaudhary and AK Rohela. Here, now on the basis of departmental inquiry, in the recommendation order issued from the level of Executive Engineer PK Sagar, it has been said that the role of JE concerned for this act is doubtful. Fixing the departmental expenditure of this work at 4.94 lakh 340, it has been recommended to order its recovery from JE’s salary or dues.
Due to being on leave in this regard, talks could not be held with RxEN. Whereas, Superintending Engineer Anil Arora tells what the order has been. Information in this regard will be known only after XEN PK Sagar returns from leave. Only after that something can be told.
