Mohit Bansal of Agra has been arrested in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Mohit Bansal is the leader of the gang making fake medicines. After his arrest, the Department of Pharmaceuticals sealed MH Pharma at Fawwara in Agra. The team that went to investigate on the complaint of spurious medicines found the shop closed. Mohit’s house was also raided and investigated.

Assistant Commissioner Drugs Akhilesh Jain said that the Lucknow headquarters had received a complaint regarding spurious medicines. In this, it was said that fake medicines are sold at MH Pharma located in Fountain Khinni Bazar. Two teams were formed under the leadership of City Magistrate Anand Kumar. When the team of Drug Inspector Navneet Kumar Yadav reached the fountain, they found the shop closed. The team could not get the correct information even after asking the nearby shopkeepers. On this the shop was sealed and a notice was pasted.

House raided, investigation by breaking the lock of the rooms

Assistant Commissioner Medicine said that under the leadership of Drug Inspector Kapil Sharma raided the Kamla Nagar residence of Mohit Bansal. Here on the second floor of the house, two rooms were locked. When the family asked for the key of the lock, they told that they were not present. On this the locks of both the rooms were broken in front of the administrative officials. Medicines have not been found in the rooms, some records have been found. There is also a possibility of it being a warehouse somewhere else.

Cases caught in five years

– Year 2021: Sudhir Rajoura, Pradeep Rajour and Saurabh of Mathura, residents of Awas Vikas Colony, caught warehouse of repacking expired medicines.
Antibiotic injections were found fake from the godown in the fountain.
Year 2020: Black marketing of drugs caught, Kamla Nagar resident Vicky Arora and two godowns of Kapil Arora also sealed.
Kamla Nagar resident Pankaj Gupta’s gang of fake, drugs and black marketing of government medicines was caught.
Four storey illegal factory of surgical goods caught in Garhi Bhadoria. Its director is Rajan Agarwal.
– 2019: Seized fake injections and antibiotics worth seven lakh rupees in Nibohra.
Punjab STF seized cough syrup worth Rs 17 lakh.
Rajasthan police caught fake abortion medicine kit.
Fake medicines worth Rs 50 lakh were caught in an illegal warehouse built in two houses in Shastripuram.
– The fake medicine manufacturing factory of Rajoura Bandhu, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony, was caught.

Accused of selling spurious medicines with departmental nexus

District Agra Chemist Association President Ashu Sharma says that black marketing of fake, intoxicating drugs is taking place. Despite this, the officials of the department are not able to catch this gang. There is departmental nexus in this. Due to this, those doing business of medicines in the right way are also getting affected.
