Two and a half year old Mayank, who was abducted from Touratha No. 2 of Agra police station Shahganj area, has been safely recovered by the police from Vrindavan in Mathura. On Tuesday afternoon, he had come to visit number two with his mother Kanta Devi, wife Mithilesh, two and a half year old son Mayank and four year old Nishant. In the evening, Kanta Devi was sitting at the door of the house. Meanwhile, Mayank came out of the house and started playing near the door. After some time he went missing.

Mayank was not seen at home at around six in the evening, so a search was made for him. The relatives searched the entire streets around. He started watching the CCTV footage of the locality. In a footage, a young man was seen carrying Mayank in his lap. Police was informed on this.

Police scrutinized the recording of CCTV cameras. In one footage, a young man is seen taking the child with him. On this, the police checked the footage of all the CCTV cameras installed from Touratha to Prithvinath Gate. At one place, when Mayank cries, the young man gets chocolates from a shop. After going some distance, he also gave banana to eat.

Police checked the cameras installed on all the routes leading from Prithvinath Gate. On the way from the police post towards Bhogipura, the accused youth was seen carrying Mayank in an e-rickshaw. On the instructions of SSP Prabhakar Chaudhary, several police teams were engaged in search of Mayank. Police had released photos of the suspect on social media.

Police said that Mausim Usmani, a resident of Vrindavan in Mathura, picked up the child from outside the house. CCTV footage of him carrying the child was revealed. He was taken towards Agra Cantt station via Bhogipura. This gave the police a clue. Mausim is arrested by the police. His friend and another have been detained.
