Whereas, 23278 candidates from Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Sonbhadra showed their strength in the recruitment. On Sunday, 327 candidates were successful in the Ranbankure Maidan located in the Cantonment. Ballia Tehsil and Sonbhadra’s Robertsganj Duddhi Tehsil will be recruited on Monday.
According to the Army Recruitment Office, 7271 candidates were called from Sonbhadra’s Ghorawal Tehsil and Deoria’s Bhatpar Rani and Salempur from 5 am, in which 6242 candidates appeared. 327 candidates passed the first hurdle of 1600 meters race. The original documents and physical fitness of the candidates were checked.
Recruitment will continue till December 6
According to the army officials, checking was done in relation to the power-enhancing drugs. Those who tamper with the documents of the candidates are being caught immediately. One lakh 43 thousand 286 candidates from 12 districts have applied for Agniveer recruitment.
Candidates from Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur have applied for the recruitment till December 6. According to army officials, there is an appeal to the candidates to maintain peace and order in the cantonment area. Those who damaged government property were identified and warned of strict action against them.

For the convenience of Agniveer candidates, a pair of special trains were started between Varanasi City and Ballia till 22 November. The train carrying the candidates started from Ballia station at 4.30 pm and reached Varanasi City by 7.30 pm. The train reached Varanasi City stopping at Ballia’s Fekna, Chilkahar, Rasda, Ratanpura, Indara, Mau, Audihar stations. From 20 to 23 November, train number 05114 will leave Varanasi City at 8.30 pm. The train will reach Ballia at 11:30 pm stopping at Audihar, Mau, Indara, Ratanpura, Rasda, Chilkahar, Phephna stations.
