Pusad, Heavy truck crushed the young man in Vithala ward located on the banks of Pus river on Digras road. This incident took place on 2 December at 12 noon. The head manager of HDFC Bank was crushed by a truck while coming from Akola to Manora Marg Pohra Devi on a two-wheeler to his rented house in Pusad. Due to the encroachment of two-wheeler, four-wheeler on the road, incidents of chain of accidents are coming to the fore.
The name of the deceased has been told as Bhagyanagar resident Sandeep Krishnarao Deshmukh Khandar (28). The youth Sandeep Deshmukh is a native of Akola. He was appointed as Head Manager in HDFC Bank about one and a half months back. After that he used to work in Mahindra Finance of Pusad. Due to which he lived with his wife, son and daughter in a rented house in Bhagyanagar. After Sandeep Deshmukh got a job in Akola, he was engaged in shifting with his family. On December 2, Sandeep was coming to Pusad from Manora Marg in the direction of Pohradevi in his two-wheeler number MH 30 AY 3621 to pick up a family member from Akola.
Meanwhile, Sudhir Subhash Rathod, a resident of Valsa of Darwha tehsil, the driver of Eagle Construction Company’s heavy truck number MH-05 DK-9703, hit Sandeep’s two-wheeler in the Bhagyanagar complex while driving at high speed and carelessly. Due to which Sandeep lost control of the two-wheeler and he came under the rear wheel of the truck. Under which Sandeep died on the spot due to crushing. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the city police reached the spot. After the accident, there was a traffic jam here for some time.
There is always traffic of hundreds of vehicles on Pusad to Digras highway. Due to encroachment on the road itself, the vehicle owners have to worry. A few days back a girl named Vaishnavi Gore had taken her life due to encroachment on the road. Discussions are going on about how many more people will die on this path. Till the time of writing the news, the process of giving a complaint against the truck driver in the city police station was started by Sandeep’s relatives. A crowd of citizens including the truck driver and relatives of the deceased had gathered at the city police station.
