Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the water of Ganga from Gomukh to Ganga Sagar has become clean and potable. Comments may be many, but the Prime Minister of Mauritius sealed the government’s cleanliness campaign by taking a dip in the Ganges along with 400 people. The only proof of Ganga purification is that even the extinct dolphins are now visible.
The Chief Minister, who came to participate in an international seminar on agriculture in the BHU campus, said that the journey from Gangotri to Gangasagar is 2500 kms. In this, an area of 1025 km falls in UP. Now the Ganges has become completely clean. Trying can do a lot. The perfect example of this is the Namami Gange project. Not a drop of filth is going into the river. Similarly, in the Jajmau area of Kanpur, the aquatic life of Ganga had almost ended. The fishes were dying. Now there is change. Even in Jajmau, the water of the Ganga is pure.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a meeting with officials at the Circuit House on Sunday during his visit to Varanasi that international events will be held in Varanasi from January to April. A complete action plan should be prepared for organizing Ganga Vilas Cruise, Tent City, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and G-20. A good example of Banaras hospitality should be presented to the guests.
Referring to the Global Investors Summit 2023 being held in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said that local businessmen should also be motivated to invest. People’s representatives should hold meetings with businessmen and motivate them for local investment. Praising the tent city, he said that it would provide employment to many people. This is a good effort.
The Chief Minister reviewed preparations related to Ganga Vilas Cruise and G-20 Summit scheduled to depart on the longest waterway on January 13. Several suggestions were also given to make these events successful. He urged that concrete arrangements should be made for the safety of passers-by, women and traders. The Chief Minister also directed to find a permanent solution to the biggest problem of the city, traffic jam.
