The incident took place at Kheri Kalan village near BPTP police station last year at around 7:00 am on August 6, the police informed. Kalpana Devi, the 29-year-old wife of the accused, was cooking.

Suspicious Pinku Kumar would have fled to Rajasthan after the incident. Later, he kept on changing his places by going to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Delhi, six months ago the police would have announced a reward of five thousand rupees for giving information about his whereabouts.
The husband of the accused, Pinku Kumar, originally a resident of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, married Kalpana in 2015.
