Mahindra’s popular SUV Thar and XUV700 have become expensive to buy. The company has increased the price of Thar by up to Rs 28,000 and the price of XUV by up to Rs 37,000. This is the third increase in the price of both the SUVs this year. The increase in demand for Mahindra SUVs and the rising cost has been the reason for the hike.
Mahindra XUV700
Prices have been hiked by Rs 22,000 to Rs 35,000 for the petrol variants of Mahindra XUV700, while the prices for the diesel variants have been hiked between Rs 20,000 and Rs 37,000. The AWD luxury 7-seater top-spec AX7 variant has received a price hike of Rs 37,000 and the AX3 MT 5-seater by Rs 20,000.
Mahindra Thar
Thar recently got a minor update. It comes with petrol and diesel engine options in two trims – AX (O) and LX. The top-spec LX AT hard top petrol variant has received a price hike of Rs 7,000, while all other petrol variants have now become costlier by Rs 6,000.
Apart from this, the prices of Thar’s AX(O) and LX MT diesel variants have been increased by Rs 28,000. The prices of LX AT diesel soft top and hard top variants have been increased by Rs 26,000.
