Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao while addressing the tribal Banjara Sabha on Saturday said that ST reservation in Telangana will be increased from 6 per cent to 10 per cent. But announced the implementation of ‘Girijan Bandhu’ scheme. In this, after the disposal of Podu land, the tribal community will be given an assistance of one million to start an enterprise. For this, ST families will be counted as landless or without any other livelihood.

Chief Minister KCR said that those who are landless and who do not have livelihood, we will identify the beneficiaries and Telangana government will soon launch Girijan Bandhu Yojana like Dalit Bandhu Udyami Yojana. After solving the issue of Podu land like Dalit brothers Under the Girijan Bandhu scheme, tribal communities will be given an assistance of ten lakhs to start any enterprise.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday inaugurated tribal and Banjara buildings on the occasion of ‘Vajrotsav’ of Telangana’s National Integration Day. Chief Minister KCR inaugurated Adivasi and Banjara Bhawan in the name of Komuram Bheem and Sevalal Maharaj built at a cost of crores of rupees in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad. The government has constructed two buildings with the aim of promoting the self-respect of the two communities at the highest level.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister visited the Adivasi and Banjara Bhawans, where hundreds of tribal artists welcomed him with Gond Banjara traditional dance and cultural instruments and music. The Chief Minister unveiled a statue of Komuram Bheem, which was installed in the building and Paid floral tributes to Gond Nayak and freedom fighter of Telangana Armed Struggle on the occasion of Vajrootsav of National Unity Day. On this occasion, the tribal brothers wore their traditional turbans to CM KCR.

Addressing the gathering organized on the occasion of the inauguration of both the buildings, Chief Minister KCR said that “My heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the tribal and Banjara people who come in large numbers to attend the meeting of self respect. This is the tribal people of India. It is an inspirational occasion for the people. I have said many times during the movement. There is an area called Banjara Hills in our capital. But he said that there is not a single yard for Banjara. We are going to launch Adivasi and Banjara Bhawans today. It is an inspiration to all the tribal people of India. The Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the employees, leaders and intellectuals from the tribal community to lead their future generations. In this function, Minister Satyavati Rathore , Mahmood Ali, Srinivas Yadav, Srinivas Gaur, Sabita Indra Reddy, Mallareddy, MP K. Keshavrao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Malothu Kavita Naik, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Thakkelpalli Ravinder Rao were present.
