CBI Investigation in Sonali Phogat Murder Case: The CBI team probing the BJP leader Sonali Phogat murder case can question Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh today. Both are currently in jail. On Sunday, the CBI team reached the Curlis Nightclub. The CBI team stayed here for about 2 hours and 3D mapping of the entire nightclub was done. Also videography and photography were done. Not only this, the staff of the night club was also questioned by the CBI team. After this, the CBI team once again reached the Grand Leoni Resort and once again did 3D mapping there.
Suspicious death of Sonali Phogat
On 23 August, Sonali Phogat died under mysterious circumstances in Goa. According to the post-mortem report, injury marks were also found on Sonali Phogat’s body. Sonali Phogat’s PA Sudhir Sangwan and his aide Sukhwinder were arrested in this case. The Goa Police later also arrested the owner of Kurlees restaurant Edwin Nunes and two drug peddlers.
Sonali’s family had demanded a CBI inquiry
Sonali Phogat’s family was continuously demanding a CBI inquiry. After which Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant handed over the investigation of this entire case to the CBI. On September 12, the Ministry of Home Affairs had ordered to hand over the investigation of this death case to the CBI. At the same time, on September 15, the CBI took over the case file from the Goa Police. Now the case is with the CBI.
