Durgapur: Niri Water Plant in Vekoli Vashat Shakti Nagar Durgapur Pure drinking water plant was built with government facility. So that the residents and workers get pure drinking water. The water plant had the facility to provide 20 liters of water for Rs.
To operate it, unemployed children of the workers Prem Wankhede and Ravi Lambat were given work. But some people did not see the progress of Prem Wankhede and Ravi Lambat and they burnt it by spraying petrol in the plant around 1 to 2 pm on the night of 13 September. In the accident, the Aaro water plant was completely burnt down.
An unknown person’s mobile phone was found near the spot and a petrol bottle was found nearby. Lakhs of rupees have been lost in the incident. In this context, a complaint was lodged at Durgapur Police Station.
