Chandigarh University MMS Case: The National Commission for Women has now taken cognizance of the incident related to the viral video of girls taking a bath in Chandigarh University in Mohali. The commission has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab and directed to take swift and strict action against the culprits in this case.
Along with this, the National Commission for Women also asked the Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University to take appropriate action against the culprits in this matter. The National Commission for Women also asked the State Commission for Women in this case to ensure that appropriate action is taken in this matter and the investigation proceeds in a fair manner.
what is the whole matter
In Mohali, a ruckus started at Chandigarh University at 2 pm when it was found that a video of 5 to 6 girl students of the hostel while taking a bath has been made viral. One girl is also accused of making the video viral. It was told that the girl made a video and sent it to a boy she knew. On this matter, the students of the university created a ruckus in the university campus. After this the girl who made MMS was handed over to the police. Police has registered an FIR against the accused girl.
The university management is also being accused of suppressing this matter. The girl students say that they had complained about this to the management but the management did not take any action on this matter. Enraged by this, the students raised slogans in the university late at night.
SSP made a big claim
At the same time, SSP Mohali has made a big claim in this matter. He has said that so far only one video has come out which is of the accused. Apart from this, no other video has surfaced in the investigation.
SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said in a press conference – In this case it is being said that apart from the viral video, some other videos have been made, this is completely wrong. No other such video has come to the fore in our investigation. An FIR has been registered on our behalf and we have also arrested a student.
