Dr. SN Pandey, head of meteorological department of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA), said that the northwest and adjoining west central remains on the Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop by September 20.
Monsoon withdrawal cycle also started
According to meteorologist Dr. SN Pandey, the cycle of withdrawal of monsoon has also started. Due to cyclonic winds, dry winds have started blowing up to Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Gujarat and West Uttar Pradesh.
According to Dr. Pandey, when there is no rain in an area for several days and dry winds start blowing there, then the monsoon is considered to be a sign of withdrawal. After the next two days of rain, dry winds will start blowing in the surrounding areas including Kanpur.
