Nagpur. Due to late running of trains, commuters are facing a lot of trouble these days. Most of the long distance trains were running late by around 6 to 12 hours on Saturday. Due to this, passengers coming and going to Mumbai had to face trouble. Due to late running of trains, one has to wait for several hours at Nagpur station. Morning trains are arriving in the evening and evening trains are arriving in the morning. Women and the elderly are facing a lot of trouble due to the late running of trains.
Passengers coming from far away have to spend the whole night at the station. Due to the rush of passengers, a fair-like atmosphere is seen at the station. People living in adjoining districts also come from Nagpur to catch flights, in such a situation their problems have increased due to the delay of trains.
Most of the people catch Vidarbha Express to go to Mumbai but this train is also running very late. On Saturday, this train reached Nagpur station at 09.22 hrs instead of its scheduled time of 08.55 while at Gondia at 1.30 pm instead of its scheduled time of 11.55 am. In return direction 12106 Vidarbha Express reached Nagpur at 6.20 PM about 1.30 hours late than its scheduled time.
Similarly, 22846 Hatia-Pune Express reached Nagpur at 4.45 pm, 6 hours late from its scheduled time. Apart from this, 18030 Shalimar-LTT Express was running late by 8 hours, 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail by 6 hours. 12152 Samarsta Express was running late by 11 hrs, 12130 HOWRAH Pune Azad Hind Express by 12 hrs. 20857 Puri Shirdi Sainagar Express, 12649 Sampark Kranti Express, 22176 Jaipur Nagpur Super Fast, 12522 Ernakulam Barauni Raptisagar Express were also running late.
On the other hand, railway officials say that trains are running late due to track maintenance work and construction of third, fourth line in Nagpur Division of Central Railway and Raipur, Bilaspur divisions of South-East Central Railway. As soon as the track maintenance work is completed, all the trains will start running on their scheduled time.
