Mahua Moitra Played Football: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra (TMC MP Mahua Moitra) on Monday shared her pictures while playing football in a saree in the Krishnanagar MP Cup tournament. In the pictures uploaded by Moitra on Twitter, she is seen wearing a red-orange sari with sports shoes and sunglasses. In the first picture, she is seen chasing the ball and kicking it. In another picture, she is also seen stopping the goal in the role of a goalkeeper at the goalpost. Sharing this picture on Twitter, the TMC MP wrote, “Funny moment from the final of Krishnanagar MP Cup tournament 2022. And yes, I play in a sari.”
Social media users were impressed to see the TMC MP playing football in a sari. One of whom was Sharmistha Mukherjee, daughter of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee. One user wrote that this is wonderful, you are very commendable. Another said football and saris are tough competitors but you have made it easy. Glad to see some politicians promoting sports and an active lifestyle.

Let us inform that TMC leader Mahua Moitra is an MP from Krishnanagar seat of West Bengal. He reached the Lok Sabha for the first time in the year 2019 by defeating BJP’s Kalyan Choubey by 63 thousand votes. Earlier she had also been an MLA. In 2016, he had won from Karimpur assembly seat. She was in Congress before joining TMC, but she did not stay in Congress for long and she joined TMC. Before joining politics, Mahua Moitra used to work in a prestigious banking company in London. In the year 2009, she returned to India and tried her luck in politics here.
