Protests have started in the campus over the suicide case of a student of Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, Punjab. According to Kapurthala police, on September 20, at 5.30 pm, information was received that a student studying B design at Lovely Professional University had committed suicide. After this the police reached there and recovered a suicide note from the spot, in which personal reasons have been given for the death.
Lovely Professional University issued a statement on the student’s suicide saying, “The preliminary investigation and the entire contents of the suicide note point towards the personal issues of the deceased. The university is fully cooperating with the authorities for further investigation.
