Government doubles support price
According to a report in The Express Tribune, the prices of wheat and flour have increased by 10-20 per cent due to possible delay in sowing the crop in October. Not only this, the food grain support price has also been doubled by the Government of Pakistan.
Flour has progressed beyond a century in Karachi
How bad the situation is in Pakistan can be gauged from the fact that the price of flour in the city of Karachi has gone up to Rs 125 per kg, whereas till 6-7 months ago this price was around Rs 25 per kg. According to the report, on Friday, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said in its report that the price of wheat flour has increased by 7.51% in the week ended September 15 and is now priced at Rs 106.38 per kg.
Wheat prices increased so much in 3 months
The increase is being seen not only in the price of flour, but also in wheat. According to the report, the price of wheat has increased by 14% in a week. At present, wheat is being available at Rs 88 per kg, whereas a week ago its price was around Rs 77 per kg. The price of wheat in Pakistan has increased by 30 percent in the last three months.
