Pimpri: Although the outbreak of Corona Pandemic has subsided, the disease of Dengue is spreading rapidly. A 32-year-old youth living in Chikhali-Moshi Road area of Pimpri Chinchwad got infected with dengue. He was undergoing treatment at Yashwantrao Chavan Hospital (YCM) of the Municipal Corporation for the last six days. He died on Monday morning. Although he also had pneumonia for two days.
It is being told that the youth who died of dengue has a business of transporting passengers in a four wheeler. The friend of the young man told that he has a son. His wife is pregnant and she died before the child was born. Due to this a mountain of sorrow has broken on the family of the young man. Meanwhile, in the month of September till Monday i.e. in the last 19 days, 1392 suspected patients have been found and dengue has been confirmed in 66 people. This is the highest figure for this year. Due to this there is a need to take strict measures by the Health and Medical Administration of the Municipal Corporation and also caution the citizens.
Treatment was going on in YCM Hospital
Dr. Rajesh Wable, Dean of YCM Hospital, told that the youth was undergoing treatment at YCM for the last six days. She had vomited two days ago. It went into his lungs and caused pneumonia. After that he died.

Health department team is doing survey in the area
The Assistant Health Officer of the Municipal Corporation, Dr. Laxman Gofane said that patients with symptoms of dengue are examined. They are treated like dengue patients till their lab reports come. At present two patients are admitted in the hospital. Inspection of 100 houses is done around the residence of dengue patient. Survey is being done in the staff area of the Health Department. Suspected patients are being treated, said Dr. Pawan Salve, Additional Health Medical Officer, Municipal Corporation.
