Nagpur. The Tehsil police finally got success in catching the gang of UP which was stealing cash from ATM machines in different areas of the city. Under the scheme, the police had laid a trap near an ATM on Central Avenue Road. As soon as the accused entered the ATM, the police caught them. The arrested accused include Rahul Rakesh Saroj (24), resident of Jaleshwarganj, Pratapgad, Sanjay Shankarlal Pal (23) and Ashok Srinath Pal (26), resident of Munavpur, Prayagraj.

All three have been in Nagpur for about 5 months. He used to go to different areas and do a recce of ATMs. Where there were no guards, such ATMs used to be their target. They have a different way of stealing in ATMs. Earlier, the accused used to go to the ATM and take out the knob by opening the panel cover of the machine with the help of a screwdriver. The customers used to go to the ATM and put the amount in the machine. Notes were counted but the amount did not come out. Later the accused used to withdraw the amount by opening the panel.

Executed 3 dozen crimes

The accused carried out 2 incidents in the Tehsil police station area. Similar incidents took place at other places in the city as well. That is why the police focused on the methods and timing of the theft of the accused. Which showed that most of the incidents happened on Saturday and Sunday. That is why the police employed their punters around some ATMs. On Sunday morning, the accused entered the ATM of Central Avenue Road. On getting the information, the police raided the ATM and all three were arrested red handed. It has been learned that the accused have carried out 3 dozen incidents so far. Tehsil police is investigating the matter under the guidance of DCP Gajanan Rajmane.

Cases not registered in many police stations

During the investigation from the accused, it was revealed that more than 3 dozen incidents were executed. This figure may increase further, but it is a matter of surprise that in many police stations, cases have not been registered against the accused. If the case had been registered, then the top officials would have called for a reply. Due to this fear, many police stations did not register their case. The matter was put under investigation. Now of course there will be an FIR after the accused are caught.
