Apart from common art, various cultural programs will be organized in the eight-day festival at Raskhan Samadhi. In this event, in collaboration with the Government Museum Mathura and Braj Sanskriti Research Institute, different types of water sanjhi, flower sanghi, dung sanjhi, banana leaf sanghi, canvas sanghi and colors sanghi, apart from common seminars and common competitions will also be organized. .
Bhajan Sandhya, Sanjhi Samaj singing, Bani-Thani Natya Rupak, Beni Gunthan at Raskhan Samadhi site itself from 4 pm to 7 pm to fascinate the minds of devotees along with common art and to make them aware about the culture of Braj Cultural programs like Rasleela, Lavani folk song, Rasiya, Braj Bhasha Kavi Sammelan, folk dance and Jikdi Bhajan will be organized.
GLA Vice Chancellor Professor Anoop Kumar Gupta informed that the University and the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad have taken the initiative to preserve and promote the common art of pastimes associated with Lord Krishna. Under this, Sanjhi Mahotsav is being organized.
He said that since the adoption of Raskhan Samadhi and Taj Biwi Memorial by GLA under Smarak Mitra, there has been a lot of conservation till now. Memorial in-charge has been deployed to give information about the Raskhan of the visiting devotees.
Pankaj Verma, Deputy CEO of Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad said that Sanjhi Mahotsav will be celebrated in a grand manner. Meeting with common artist and collaborators has already taken place. He told that only artists of Braj will participate in the eight-day festival. All the participants will be felicitated by presenting certificates and mementos.
When there are no festivals during Shradh Paksha, then Sanjhi Utsav is celebrated in Braj. In urban areas, colors and flowers are made of water. In rural areas, the festival is celebrated by making sanghi from cow dung. This art is depicted in Braj temples, kunjs and ashrams by filling them with dry colors in small pots placed on a high octahedral surface of clay.
