Mumbai: The troubles of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut are increasing. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has opposed the bail of MP Sanjay Raut in its reply given in the special court. Raut had said in his bail application that he was tortured to forcibly crush the opposition who was coming before the ruling party.
Sanjay Raut had recently filed a bail application in the special court in the money laundering case, in which he said that action has been taken against him by registering a case against him for abuse of power and political vendetta. The court had sought a response from the ED in this matter.

The ED on Friday filed its written reply before Special Judge MG Deshpande, opposing Sanjay Raut’s bail. Recently, the ED had named Praveen Raut frontman and Sanjay Raut as the real masterminds of the scam in the Patra Chal scam.
Transactions worth crores from associates investigated
The ED is probing alleged financial irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra Chawl, transactions worth crores of rupees from Sanjay Raut’s wife and alleged associates. ED had arrested Sanjay Raut on July 31 in the Goregaon Patra Chawl scam case. In the year 2010, Madhuri, wife of Praveen Raut, transferred Rs 83 lakh to the account of Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha Raut.
