New Delhi: Talking about the terrorist attacks on the Indian Army, the most horrific Uri attack in this, which took place on 18 September 2016 by terrorists in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked the Army Headquarters at Uri Camp in Jammu and Kashmir at 5.30 am. It was such a fierce attack that in just 3 minutes, the terrorists threw 17 hand grenades in the camp. Due to which 18 soldiers of the army were martyred. The terrorists had a fierce encounter with the army for 6 hours, however, in the end all the four terrorists were killed.

The country sought revenge

There was a lot of anger in the country due to the attack by Pakistani terrorists on the resting soldiers. Every citizen of India was demanding revenge. Not only this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked about teaching a lesson to Pakistan. Slogans against Pakistan were being raised across the country. With this, there was also a demand to declare Pakistan as a terrorist country and break all relations with it.

surgical strike took revenge

On this attack, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had said that the sacrifice of the soldiers of the country will not go in vain. At the same time, exactly 10 days after the Uri attack, i.e. on 28-29 September, the Indian Army entered Pakistan and carried out a surgical strike. This was the first time by the army when an operation was carried out against the terrorists by entering the enemy’s house.

150 commandos of the army were involved in this operation. Army personnel entered 3 km inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) with full planning and completely destroyed the hideouts of the terrorists.

Operation was monitored from Army Headquarters

The soldiers had targeted to destroy a total of 6 camps of terrorists present in PoK. During this attack, the Indian Army completely destroyed 3 of these camps. In this attack, 38 terrorists were killed by the army. However, a dinner party was organized to ensure that no one came to know about this operation.

The then Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar, NSA Ajit Doval (AJIT DOVAL) and then Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag instead of going to dinner, all three went straight to the Army Headquarters at 8 pm. From where he closely monitored the action being taken by the army throughout the night. At the same time, information about this operation was also being continuously given to Prime Minister Modi.
