Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Gita is the scripture which paves the way for the welfare of the world by giving inspiration to all people irrespective of region, language, caste, creed and religion. This is a universal book of inspiration for the coming generation by becoming an immortal sentence.

He was addressing the Geeta Jayanti function organized at Geeta Press on Sunday evening as the chief guest. He said that God had composed the Gita not only to end Arjuna’s duality, but also to inspire the entire humanity to follow the path of duty. Said that being persistent towards selfless duty is actually like doing God’s work.

The Chief Minister said that Sethji Jaidayal Goyandka, the founder of Gita Press, established wonderful and exemplary standards in the field of religious literature by establishing Gita Press 100 years ago for the publication of Gita and other religious literature. On the other hand, Bhaiji Hanuman Prasad Poddar, who promoted Sanatan culture to the masses through Kalyan Patrika, was a divine man in human form.

The Chief Minister called upon the Geeta Press Management to set a target of printing 100 crore religious literature in the centenary year celebrations. During the program, the Chief Minister also released Chitramay Sunderkand. The program was coordinated by Lalmani Tiwari, manager of Geeta Press.

On this occasion, the trustees of Gita Press Baijnath Agarwal, Krishna Kumar Khemka, Murli Manohar Saraf, Swami Narharidas, Santosh Das, Mahant Ravindra Das etc were also present.

Presiding over the Geeta Jayanti celebrations, Vice Chancellor of Madan Mohan Malaviya Technological University, Prof. JP Pandey said that Gita is not a book wrapped in red cloth and kept in a corner of the house, but a living medium to show the right path of life. Every person should understand the messages given by God in Gita and bring them into his life.
