Tripura, Nagaland BJP? Exit polls predict Meghalaya’s hung situation A to Z Counsel

Circle Institute, New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party retained power in Tripura, the BJP-led Rashtriya Lokshahi Aghadi will get majority in Nagaland; But Meghalaya may be in a hung state, as per the exit polls published by both the institutions.

Meghalaya 76, Nagaland 84 percent polling

New Delhi : 76.66 percent voter turnout was recorded for Meghalaya’s Monday assembly elections. In Nagaland itself, 84 percent voter turnout was registered due to the enthusiasm of the voters. Voting was held for 59 seats each in both the states on Monday. One seat in Nagaland has been elected unopposed, election in Meghalaya’s Shillong constituency has been postponed due to the death of the candidate. Voting took place on Monday from 7 am to 4 pm.
